RecordsRecords may be requested in person at the Pontiac Police Department located in downtown Pontiac.

Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Window is closed on Tuesday and Thursday and closed for lunch daily 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Bring with you:

  • Copy of card provided by officer with phone numbers and case number, and personal ID (driver's license, State of Michigan ID card, etc.).
  • Only persons who are named on an incident/police report may request a copy of a record. All other persons requesting records must fill out and submit a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) form.
  • Fingerprinting, Gun Purchasing Permit, Gun Registration, and Concealed Weapon Permits processing occurs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Cash only accepted (no checks or credit cards).
