The links to other Web sites that are provided on this site are intended to provide information about works and projects that promote City business and development and provide information about other government resources and services. The City of Pontiac and its Police Department review all link requests for adherence to these criteria:
- The relationship and importance of the link requested to the ordinary functions of the City and its Police Department;
- The availability of City and its Police Department's resources to monitor and maintain the Web site; and
- The significance of materials contained on the linked site.
Any third party Web site that links to the Pontiac Police Department Web site:
- Shall not create a frame, browser or border environment around any of the content of the Pontiac Police Department Web site;
- May not reproduce site content;
- Shall not imply that the City of Pontiac is endorsing or sponsoring it or its products or services;
- Shall not use the City of Pontiac or its Police Department's trademarks without prior written permission; and
- Shall not contain content that could be construed as distasteful, offensive or controversial.
Notwitstanding the above, the City of Pontiac may deny or resind permission to link to the Pontiac Police Department Web site, and to require termination of any link to the site, for any reason in its sole discretion.
